Interaction with the Demo Board currently requires Java 2 Runtime support software. Otherwise, when you proceed to the Demo Board (link below) you will see only a large gray square where the chessboard should be.
If you already have installed the Java runtime software, then simply click on the “Proceed…” link below,
then wait for the Board to be set up.
It may take 20-30 or more seconds for slower computers to be fully set up
and
for Java to draw the board on your computer.
If you do not yet have the Java software installed on your system, you can download it (for free) from the Java website. To go there, click on one of the following links:

Once there, find the link that lets you
download a file containing the Java 2 Standard Edition Java Runtime Environment
--> j2se.jre
After clicking on Proceed,
please have patience:
