We are still working on and improving the Demo program. At the moment, interaction with the Demo board requires that you have Java 2 Runtime software installed on your system. Otherwise, when you proceed to the Demo Board (link below) you will see only a large gray square where the chessboard should be.
If you do not yet have the Java software installed on your system, you can download it (for free) from the Java website. To go there, click on one of the following links: http://java.com/en/download/download_the_latest.jsp or http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.2/download.html . Once there, find the link that lets you download a file containing the Java 2 Standard Edition Java Runtime Environment --> j2se.jre
